Application Engineer

After a training period to learn about drilling technology, the market, and about Varel's products, design and sales process, the successful applicant will then:

• Manage the evolution of bit design according customers' needs
• Support Sales teams and customers on technical and design aspects
• Develop and maintain runs database and provide technical reports
• Insure technology watch and information on competitors' products and technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Mechanical or Mining Engineering
• BS / License /Master in Geology, Physics or Mechanics
• Knowledge of Oil and Gas and Drilling Bits business is preferred

Skills:

• Fluent in English
• Fluent in Arabic
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents (statistics, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, mechanics...)
• Ability to compose technical reports,
• Ability to adapt and work in multicultural environments
• Must work well within a team

Remuneration: Base salary according to experience + bonus
