Varel is a global leader in Oil, Gas and Industrial Mining Drill Bit Technology, our Varel Europe facility is experiencing considerable growth at a rapid rate. Varel Europe designs, manufactures as well as sales our high-quality and high-performance drill bits and provides technical assistance to customers in over 30 countries in the Eastern Hemisphere. To maintain our competitive edge and maintain our growth in the Middle East we are looking for a:

Service Engineer

Summary:

After a training period to learn about drilling technology, the market, and about Varel's products, the successful applicant will then:

  • Supervise and run Varel International products in the Middle East (UAE & Saudi Arabia).
  • Promote the image of the company and develop relationship with our clients.
  • Analyze our customer needs (geological, data analysis...) and make technical proposals with the support of our Product Application Engineers and his District Manager.
  • Provide technical assistance to our customers in order to insure optimum performance of our products (set the rig during runs, runs analysis and parameters adjustments).
  • Provide technical post run analysis reports of our products.
  • Track operational opportunity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering
  • BS / License /Master in Geology, Physics or Mechanics
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas and drilling bits business

Skills:

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Arabic
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents (statistics, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, mechanics...)
  • Ability to compose technical reports
  • Ability to adapt and work in multicultural environments
  • Must work well within a team

Remuneration: Base salary will be determined based on experience
