Varel's jet air journal bearing bits are specially designed for underbalanced drilling conditions where air, water mist or foam circulation is used. These tungsten carbide insert (TCI) cutting structures are specifically engineered for very efficient drilling of the formation, thorough hole cleaning and the most economical drilling solution available.

Jet Air Nozzles
Replaceable jet air nozzles, retained by a nail lock system, can be sized to optimze hole cleaning.
An optional central jet (premium option) is available on 8 3/4" and larger bits. This optional feature improves cutting structure and hole-bottom cleaning, resulting in increased ROP and reduced drilling costs
